The Big Game is just 3 days away! You may be super excited because your team is playing in the game. Or maybe you can’t wait to see all the commercials during the game. I’m excited for Sunday’s game because that gives me an excuse to cook up some yummy food.
If you’re hosting a party Sunday or going to a friend’s party, you know that good food is a must for any Big Game party! I’m going to lay low this year and watch the game at home with some friends. I threw a Big Game party a few years ago and ended up passing out before the 2nd quarter even began. Talk about a hostess fail!!! I won’t be making that mistake ever again. This year I plan on focusing all my efforts on some yummy food for my little gathering. But this girl won’t be slaving away in the kitchen all day Sunday because I have some easy, breezy recipes up my sleeve.
And lucky for you I am going to share these Big Game winners with you!!
The first recipe is for my famous Buffalo Chicken Roll. It’s super yummy and so easy to make.
-Bonesless/skinless chicken tenders
-Your favorite wing sauce
-blue cheese crumbles
-shredded cheddar cheese
-i bag of broccoli slaw mix
-1 package of Pepperidge Farms puff pastry sheets
For the filling I like to use the crock pot because it allows me to set it and forget it. Wash chicken tenderloins and put into the crock pot. Add some salt and pepper. Then add your favorite wing sauce. Be sure that there is enough to cover all of the chicken. Set on high for 3 hours to cook. Also be sure to take the pastry sheets out of the freezer and set on counter to thaw out. Then use a fork to shred the chicken into smaller pieces. Add the bag of broccoli slaw and combine it with chicken and wing sauce. Let cook for 30 minutes on low.
Pre-heat the oven to 350.
Use Pam spray to coat a baking sheet. Unfold one pastry sheet and spray with Pam. I like to add a little garlic in this step by sprinkling some garlic powder on the inside of the dough. Spoon filling into the center of the dough working from top to bottom. Add blue cheese crumbles and shredded cheese. Fold both sides over to form a pocket. Use a fork to seal all of the edges. Bake for 20-25 minutes until pastry is golden brown and fluffy.
With this recipe you’ll have enough pastry sheets and filling to make two Buffalo Chicken rolls. You will still have plenty of filling left to make a quick and easy buffalo chicken dip.

-1 package of cream cheese
-tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks
Add package of cream cheese to buffalo chicken mix and blend together using a food processor. Add in blue cheese crumbles and blend again. And bam you have a yummy Big Game friendly dip to serve all of your guests.
When I think of football, I think of buffalo chicken. I love wings, but gnawing on bones in front of a bunch of people isn’t my thing. And buffalo wings leave so much waste. What are some of your favorite foods for a Big Game party?
