Just because you’ve made a name for yourself on the Billboard music charts doesn’t quite mean the same name will be made at the box office.  But these pop stars decided to graduate from their on stage antics to more serious roles on the big and small screen.

Jessica Simpson recently admitted she’ll be starring in a TV pilot about her life that will air on NBC, Justin Timberlake blew away audiences in the Facebook tell-all “The Social Network” and even Britney Spears tried her hand at acting in the terrible and cheesy movie “Crossroads”.  But were these pop singers just as great on TV as they are in the studio?
