Wowzers! It’s been quite a week for Britney Spears! Let’s review…

FIRST, she announced she was “quitting” after one season as a judge on The X Factor to focus on recording a new album.

SECOND, she announced her split with fiance Jason Trawick.

Now, TMZ has learned that Britney is on the verge of a MASSIVE deal to return to perform at Caesars in Las Vegas!

Sources connected to the negotiations say that the two sides are very close. “There are several stipulations that could throw a monkey wrench in the deal, but it’s basically done.”

One of the issues? Exactly what Britney will be doing.  There’s back-and-forth over whether she will just perform on stage at a big theater multiple nights a week, or whether she will also make appearances at functions in the hotels, nightclubs and pool day clubs.

While the exact dollar amount is unclear, it’s likely to surpass the $100 million-per year Celine Dion made for her five-year run in Vegas.
