British sensation and “How We Do” singer Rita Ora made her way to the Kiss 95.1 studios today (July 17) to chat with Otis about her music career and even perform a few acoustic songs for listeners.  The charismatic and fashionable singer not only blew everyone away with her stripped down versions of “R.I.P” and “How We Do (Party)” but she also told us about giving friend, and famous rapper, Drake a ring.

Okay, so it’s not exactly what you’re thinking but she did give us the full story on the gift.

“It was my granddad’s ring,” she opened up, explaining why Drake deserved such a sentimental gift.  “I’ve known Drake for so many years, he was the first guy I wrote with on my album.  So I’ve been doing this album for literally 3 years … but Drake, I always kept his songs on the album.”

If she wasn’t already Drake’s biggest fan, she would be after her single “R.I.P.”, which was written by Drake, went number one in Europe. “It was my first number one and I kind of shared it with the right person,” she admitted before explaining his importance in her life.  “He wrote it for me and it just all made sense.  So the least I could do was give him something really important for me cause… if you think about it, he changed my life.”

While most people exchange rings on a more romantic level, Otis asked if there were any loving ties between the two singers.  “No, don’t get me wrong he’s hot… but you know, it’s more than that.  It’s just like family.”
