I have to admit that I have been hooked on The Bachelorette this season for two reasons. Most of it was filmed in Charlotte, which is pretty cool to see on TV, and my girlfriend makes me.

Charlotte native, Emily Maynard, has been a very endearing and sweet Bachelorette this year. There have been rumors of her getting a big head about fame and pulling diva antics, but her sweet demeanor and kind personality on the show makes me question those rumors. She has been on a quest to find the perfect man for her and her young daughter Ricky for the past couple months now and is down to two guys.

Jef is the fun, goofy and adventurous guy, who seems the most real and, I think, the best fit for Emily. Arie is the race car driver, who seems to have more of a physical attraction with Emily that doesn’t have a lot of depth to it. I think she sees a lot of her ex, Ricky Hendrick, in him. They never really talk deeply. They both just make-out the entire time they are together.  Aside from that, he will be gone all of the time racing and not around for the big family like she wants in the end.

I was a bit shocked when Emily let Sean go on last nights episode because I thought he was actually the best fit over all for her in maturity, family, and depth. I felt like they were a better fit together when she went and met families.

Reality Steve has put out a spoiler saying that Jef Holm is who Emily is now engaged to. Next week we will find out if that rumor is true. I’m still not convinced that either will be long lasting forever love but if you had to pick one you’d like to see bouncing around Charlotte with Emily Maynard, who would it be?

I personally hope it’s Jef because he seems a lot cooler to hang out with. I’d prefer to hang with him at the Epicenter or skate around uptown and show him what our city has to offer. Arie would probably love the racing vibe around Charlotte.
