Drex & Maney joined the panel as judges for “Charlotte Idol” with FOX News Rising as finalists competed for a guaranteed audition for American Idol on June 19th.

The guys heard a lot of different sounds from an array of contestants from the Sorority anthem “Wagon Wheel” to the bluesy “Another Spoke in the Wheel.”

Mostly the guys learned not to “Ron Burgandy” fight with other morning shows and not judge a book by it’s cover especially when it came to finalist Josh Honeycutt:

We named our “Charlotte Idol,” Courtney Chay – Drex & Maney got a chance to talk with her and for her FIRST swing at an ‘Idol’ the guys were thoroughly impressed!

Courtney’s NEXT audition will be close to all the American Idol action as auditions will be Tuesday at Time Warner Cable Arena.

The winner will receive a 2-night stay at the Hyatt House Uptown and a $100 gift card.

Again, they will also receive a guaranteed audition for American Idol on June 19th!
