It’s graduation time! All the colleges and high schools are about to get out for summer and many students ready to move on into the working world. Let me first say sorry….. the chance of you getting a job is pretty low. However, at least that Harvard degree will look great on your wall….in the shed you live in.
‘SNL’ star Andy Samberg was asked to speak at class day at Harvard for the class of 2012. He didn’t graduate from there or even apply to the school ever, according to him. However, class day is put together by the student body and they’ve had many high-profile celebs and political figures speak at the ceremony. Will Farrell, Bill Clinton, Mother Teresa, and Conan O’Brien have all been asked to speak in the past, according to Huffington Post.
Samberg told the graduating class from Harvard, “Class of 2012. You are graduating from college. That means that this is the first day of the last day of your life… No, that’s wrong. This is the last day of the first day of school. Nope, that’s worse. This, is a day.” He even went on to make fun of his friends Mark Wahlberg, Harvard dropout Mark Zuckerberg, Nicolas Cage and Yale University.
My favorite part was when he made fun of certain majors that people had saying, “The following majors are apparently useless as of tomorrow: History, Literature, all things related to art, social studies, east indian studies, pretty much anything that ends in studies…ah romance languages, and finally folklore and mythology. Come on guys… just study something useful and play World of Warcraft in your spare time. Math and Science majors your cool….. FINALLY!”
