Justin Bieber was raised in Canada by his single mother Pattie Mallette and just in time for Mother’s Day has released a song in her honor. Biebs told MTV News, “”[It's] about the struggles, I say in the song. She had me at like the age I am now. [It's about] just the struggles she went through and how brave she was, and I think the world needed to know that.”

He released the song to the world yesterday and then tweeted an ode to all mothers:

He later tweeted about the fact the he’s donating the proceeds of the song to single mom’s in need saying, “Help moms in need. Give them strength. thank u mom.” If you buy the song on iTunes you will be supporting single mom’s. It’s currently the #4 selling song on iTunes.

I think it’s a pretty good song but my forever favorite Mother’s Day song will be the one from Boyz II Men, “A Song For Mama”. I sang it to my mother when I graduated high school and it is the perfect ode to mom EVER!
