The new boy band phenomenon One Direction who rose to fame on the UK version of X-Factor, are finding life on the road may have its bumps and “burns”. The band was touring over in New Zealand and now fear that 2 of them may have chlamydia.

The story that they are sticking to is that Liam Payne and Harry Styles both got to cuddle with a cute 3-year-old Koala named Kat, according to Huffington Post. The problem is, little Kat decided to pee on both of them which is not a good thing, because 80% of Koala’s there are infected with “The Clap” and it can easily be transferred to humans. Chlamydia is treatable but is a disease whose effects include severe conjunctivitis, incontinence, prostatitis, kidney damage, and sometimes cervical cancer in women.

Payne told The Sun, “I’m genuinely scared. This is worrying. I’d have never picked the thing up if I’d known.”

The good news for the band is that there is nothing more Rock n’ Roll than catching an STD on tour! However, let me say this to the boys…. just because your groupie looked like a zoo animal doesn’t mean she is. I would guess the guys don’t have a whole lot to be alarmed over as the likelihood they would catch it from Koala pee is not that high. Moral of the story, don’t play with Koala’s or sleep with any one who looks like one in college!
