The Wanted, One Direction, Hot Chelle Rae, and several other new era boy bands are taking over the music scene as we speak. It’s the new generation of all male bands like we had back in the early 90′s. I grew up with New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, and 98 Degrees when they were in their prime. Several of them are still doing comeback tours and trying to stay relevant but the breed of boy band is changing the sound a bit to more dance/rock/pop.

NKOTBSB the hybrid of New Kids and Backstreet are touring together and actually doing a big festival in Pennsylvania with The Wanted in August. MixTape Fest will hit Hershey Park and feature some old and some new. LL Cool , DJ Pauly D, The Dan Band, and Steel Panther will all rock the festival, but I believe the biggest draw will be the newest boy band, The Wanted with the success of their giant hit “Glad You Came”. Which by the way, I’m convinced is about roofieing  a girl. (Listen to the lyrics)

This begs the question, Who is the best boy band of all time? New School or old school, what you’re flavor? I’m going to have to calle N’Sync the best of all time I think!
