Cindy Crawford Puts Her Daughter’s Modeling Career On Pause
Cindy Crawford’s ten-year-old daughter, Kaia, made her modeling debut last month in a new ad for Versace‘s children’s line looking very grown up in full makeup and a miniskirt. As a mother, Cindy, the former supermodel, who was discovered at age 16, wants her daughter to wait until she’s 17.
After allowing her daughter, Kaia, to appear in Young Versace ads – it seems Cindy Crawford is slamming the brakes on her daughter’s budding modeling career!
Crawford and Rande Gerber‘s daughter was chosen by Versace after the launch of their first Young Versace boutique in Milan. The line targets children up to age 12, whose parents have a hefty bank account – but was Kaia’s first photo shoot just too provocative for her supermodel mother?
Cindy Crawford claims “At this point, she’s too young to pursue a career. There aren’t even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl. But if she’s 17 and wants to try it, of course, what can I say?”
“Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift,” creative director Donatella Versace said in a statement.
Is it great parenting or is someone jealous of their daughter’s youth?
