Cult fans everywhere rejoiced in the fall with the official announcement confirming not only new episodes of Arrested Development – but also a movie! Fans can anticipate the return of the entire cast of the show for a Netflix only series which will be available in 2013.
[pullquote quote="We're really doing this thing." credit="Dean Lorey, Producer"] This week, producer Dean Lorey and director Ron Howard have announced the return of Arrested Development. It may not be the big-network return enthusiasts we’re hoping for, but five years after ‘Arrested’ was cancelled fans can finally prepare for its return!
Jason Bateman starred hit the big screen for this past summer’s biggest comedies, “Horrible Bosses” and “The Change-Up”, and he wasted no time confirming the rumors of new Arrested Development episodes.
It's true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early '13. VERY excited!—

According to creator, Mitch Hurwitz the return of Arrested Development will show us what the characters have been up to since the show last aired … which will then lead right into the planned movie!
There’s still no word on when to expect the feature length film, but it appears the new episodes will be available on Netflix before the Arrested Development movie release which won’t be until 2013! But fans are READY!
Time for a celebratory chicken dance:
