In an interview [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Madonna[/lastfm] claimed that [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga’s[/lastfm] recent hit “Born This Way” has multiple similarities to her own 1989 hit “Express Yourself”. Paws up and claws out!

[photogallerylink id=88152 align=left]Though Madonna’s comments seem polite and harmless, they actually make Lady Gaga lose some credibility. “I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song,” she said, recalling the first time she heard the hit early last year. “I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was . . . interesting.”

In a different interview on the BBC’s Graham Norton Show, Madonna said that she feels close kinship with Gaga. “When I first saw her I was really impressed by her. She was cool – she did remind me of me back in the day.”
