Microsoft’s Kinect may change the way we play video games…

At this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, the world of video gaming is yet again evolving. Say goodbye to your game controller and welcome motion sensors.  Microsoft has invented a new gaming system that allows cameras to capture body gesture that allow gamers to run, shoot and jump.  Oh and did i mention it’s going to be in 3D. Sounds a little too much like Avatar, am i right?

Video games have started to evolve within the recent years.  Popular titles like Rock Band and Guitar Hero allow gamers to rock on with their guitar controller in their band. Nintendo’s Wii introduced a controller that involved more movement during gameplay. But will the controller be missed if the Kinect is successful?

For those of you who still have no idea  what Kinect is but are avid gamers, there is also good news for today’s system. Microsoft has introduced a slimmer look to the XBox 360 while Sony’s Playstation 3 is expanding into 3-D capabilites and offering more movies in Blu-Ray format.  Also, Facebook’s popular application Farmville will be making its way to the iPhone and other mobile flatforms.  Happy Gaming.
